Yesterday I played at Kaz and Tony’s wedding on the Bennelong Lawn in the Sydney Botanic Gardens, overlooking the Opera House.

The bride and groom wrote their own wedding vows, and they are the best I have ever heard.

They were so personal, but very humerous as well.

They wanted their wedding to be so personalised, that they paid for a close friend of their’s to complete the marriage celebrant’s course so that they didn’t have a “stranger” marrying them.

They lucked out, too, with a glorious sunny afternoon.

  • I like it when people personalize their wedding. Its a great idea to make your own vows, its more from the heart that way. Having a friend conduct the marriage is also a great idea.
